NGC 7023 Iris Nebula

10 May 2026

This is the Iris Nebula. I find this hard to capture because it’s a dark nebula and rises in a light polluted area of my sky. However, with the aid of many 60 or 90 second captures and some processing, I managed to coax some detail. Ideally, I’d get many more nights on this to increase SNR but that depends on the weather

IC 443 Jellyfish Nebula

14 Dec 2025

This is the Jellyfish Nebula. This is a HOo image processed with Siril and Gimp. This is a galactic supernova remnant (SNR) in the constellation Gemini. On the plane of the sky, it is located near the star Eta Geminorum. Its distance is roughly 5,000 light years from Earth.

Heart Nebula

02 Dec 2025

This is the Heart Nebula also known as the Running Dog Nebula, Sharpless 2-190). It’s an emission nebula, 7,500 light-years (2,300 pc) away from Earth and located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. This was taken using SHO filters on my mono IMX492 camera & processed in Siril and Gimp
